The Science Students' Council is excited to introduce six non-monetary awards to science students who have excelled in areas outside of their studies! The following awards were created to recognize the amazing achievements of Western Science Students:
- Academic Contributions
- Community Involvement
- Science Reporting
- Peer Support
Applications are available under the 'Get Involved' tab >> 'Documents'
Submit an application or nominate a friend by April 6th. Please email your applications to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Successful candidates will be contacted, and invited to an awards ceremony on April 8th!

Introducing: Western 3-Minute Thesis (3MT)
- 3MT is a research communication competition where students have 3 minutes or less to present their research to a panel of non-specialist judges and peers
- improve your communication skills and network
- great for a job application, research opportunity or scholarship application

SSC is excited to announce our highly anticipated annual formal! All we need to say is prepare yourself for a FULL RED CARPET AFFAIR. Open to all faculties/friends (you know you want to get classy with science). Look out for:
